Yes
Personally I'm not going to bother, i always wind up with a nasty sticky mess, and have to get the wife to help me out instead - but i'm sure there are some acomplished tossers among the tp membership

Don't bother with that crap up here:cool:

Not since last time, I was half way through and gave a particularly vigorous toss and it ended up stuck to the ceiling.

I let my wife do the tossing, until I end up taking over to make sure it's done right.
Although I must admit I'm not that bothered about pancake day any more....

So what do you serve them with - both savoury and sweet ?

Sits and waits for all the poncy mine is better than your recipes to come flooding in now.:tumbleweed:

Oooh forgot to say, I'm a man who likes a mixture. Most definitely sweet though. If it's not sugar and lemon, or maybe a bit of nutella or other sugary goodness....It's bacon and maple syrup :D

Id rather pay someone to do the tossing for me. My batter is fine, I just cant be bothered with the strenuous part.

oh noes , we don't need a mass debate about this ;)

I don`t like pancakes, so no tossing going on here tonight.

Might just do some sweet ones for pud as I've currently go pizza dough proving for tonight :)

Pancake Day,
The only day of the year where hitting the ceiling is considered a bad toss.

Sugar and Lemon for me

Just about to whip up some batter in readiness for tossing later. IIRC, 1 egg, 4oz flour and 1/2 pint of milk, nowt fancy! I shall be having a smear of M&S salted caramel sauce on mine. I do the tossing.

I've been a tosser for years. It must be chilled in the fridge first though, it makes it stiffer. I coat mine with honey or maple syrup.

Orange and sugar for me!
Kids golden syrup or Nutella

I'm surprised at the about of guys not boasting their tossing skills :P

I always let my missus, Lynn, toss mine...........then she covers it in golden syrup

Well I suppose someone was going to get it,
it might just as well be me as any other of the 50 odd thousand members

You'll make someone a lovely wife one day :p

Mrs Pints did the tossing here. I just sat back and enjoyed it.
I had mine covered in strawberries and clotted cream, with one covered in chocolate spread for dessert.:naughty:

I don't think that was quite how Marcel meant it TBH :D

You sure he wasn't proposing to you ;)
Yv could do the wedding pictures and I sure there will be a long queue just waiting
to give you away :p

despite my initial post I have to confess that I succumbed to temptation and had a little toss after all - it was strangely enjoyable but I was right about the sticky mess that would result, still it wasn't that bad once I'd smothered it in maple syrup.

Well that was a lot of pancakes, in fairness I was cooking them for 6 people including me :D all in one frying pan as it turns out my other pan is not suitable for packages as the first one out of it showed in that its still in there :(

WTF!

Impressive gibberish even for you, Matt! :p

tis obvious is it not - matt buys his pancakes ready made from Tesco , but on the first pan he forgot to depackage them and the plastic melted thus sticking the package to the pan , and demonstrating that a hot pan is not suitable for packages... makes perfect sense

this also demonstrates that matt is in fact not as much of a tosser as he professes to be ;)

Gosh it really is isn't it

Translation is one of the frying pans the first pancake in it stuck like a new bottom to pan :( it's still in the damn pan

Oi  :punch: :rage: :mooning: I'll have you know my pancakes are completely home made, I've got the mess to prove it ;)

Clear as mud. :ty:

No stickages here. Added a pinch of cinnamon and a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the basic batter mix and cooked them in a Tefal non stick frying pan. No sucking ferries!

ETA Autocorrect seems to have decided that wucking furries isn't right...
