An hour later i managed to shovel enough away after getting stuck 5 times, to drive to the end of the street, then continue on to work at 15mph in second.

GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

That's nice. Someone cleared your car for you.....You must have really kind neighbours :D

Last night up here in the Highlands the council were getting all prepared for the significant fall of snow overnight.

Woke up this morning and nothing, even the snow that was lying from earlier in the week had melted:lol:

Too much snow? You don't know the meaning of too much snow! ;) I lived in Switzerland for a while. One day there was no snow, the next day there was three or four foot of the stuff which stayed for the following four months! Although I just had to stick my winter tyres on and I was up and down hills like it was summer

 Not a flake here :(

You could have had lots of fun here Matt, we have had 8 inches of the stuff, spent an hour clearing enough away from the drive so as not to use the front skirt of the car as a snowplough!!.

No snow down here!! all the northerners are keeping it for themselves!!

Still lots of snow on rooftops and footpaths round here, not snowed for a good 36 hours though. Oddly it doesnt seem to be turning into ice either, just lots of slushy roads round here now :(

should have got the quattro :p

Then look even more of a muppet when you get stuck as you have the wrong tyres on to deal with the snow lol

We had to tow a young women in a BMW X5 of the grass as it sat there spinning all 4 wheels lol

Would 8 inches be enough to acheive my dream of jumping out of a bedroom window intothe snow and survivng?
