Ok, so my manager asked if I could convert her husbands CV from PDF format back to Word, Thought fair enough, easy enough thing to do, but seriously, I cant help but laugh at the CV, its one of the worst CV's I've ever seen, spelling and grammar mistakes everywhere, CV is less than one A4 sheet, just increased text size to make it just say fill the page.

Wouldn't have surprised me usually, but she's the one who deals with the recruitment in our store, I would have thought she'd have helped him lay out the CV a bit better.

I've converted it and emailed it back as she asked, but I'm thinking of offering to redo the entire CV for her next time I'm at work, any thoughts? she's one of the managers so don't want to risk getting on the wrong side of her if it turns out she's the one who typed it for him lol.

I would at least offer to correct the spelling mistakes, or tactfully point them out at least. I put a couple of otherwise promising CVs in the bin this week. Don't care how well suited for a role or skilled someone is, if they can't be bothered to make sure their CV is correct I hate to think what their day to day work is like!

PS bad translation is fine, but even people in the mainland can manage running an English spellchecker...

Leave well alone, she would probably take it as an insult or be embarassed which would be just as bad. If it's less than A4 she could probably retype it herself if she thinks it needs it, in fact that may have been the intention for converting it into .doc
