That thought had crossed my mind yes, but then I would have to tag three kids along with me, and it's freezing rain out there so everything is like a sheet of glass out there. Not that much fun. :shake:

Definition of snow

A chemical substance that (depending on location) can, in small amounts disable the infrastructure of a country. Often causes roads to be blocked with as little as 3mm of depth. It sends TV reporters into disaster mode and governments into panic

Then again, it's cold, slippy and fun! but alas, it is so rare here!

when I lived in Jersey the whole island came to a standstill...on one occasion I was the only Mum to send her children to school...they soon came back

hmm. First time I've heard of a mom skipping school because of the kids.

Enjoy your time out.

Strangely we we will have a hiatus in the weather here in Scotland tomorrow and I am planning a trip into the great outdoors! With Camera! :)

Wish we had snow :)

You wouldn't want snow like this today. It's really just little ice pellets and it's more like slushy snow than proper, crisp snowball snow. Not looking forward to the walk home tonight :shake:

My Mom in Upstate NY has had this storm but it just brought a 1/2 inch of ice! Yuck!

Anyone who wants snow is welcome to some of ours! We've had three blizzards in the past three weeks, with an arctic freeze and freezing rain thrown in between. We've received five feet of snow since Dec 19th.

It's not because of El Nina or anything like that. It's simply because God hates Denver.

Hope you're having perfect weather when I'm there in March! God knows we won't be having it here. ;)

IanC, we have the same saying here and use it liberally. We had a particularly good illustration of it last spring when it was 80F/26c one day, and the next dropped to 24F/ -3c with heavy snow.
