Snaps Photo services?

Yeah, Just got 5 rolls of B&W and 1 colour back from them. really good service in my opinion.
I opted for the 23mb scan as I needed some large prints of a few shots out of a couple of rolls, but in the future i'll stick to 4.6mb scans from them
reasonably priced for what you get, IMO.

I've used them once for 120 film development about a year ago and can't complain with the results. They said they would only post back in recorded delivery now so postage costs ruined it for me.

Well Ash it is expensive posting just one film, but I sent four in one go last time and this bought the cost down. I thought I had found someone local to do 120 film for £3 but he has now said it's too inconvenient altering the developing machine to do 120 film, when it's set for 35mm.
So using four or more 120 films (to keep costs down) when I have shot everything in a 8 mile radius of my home with 35mm.... is difficult to do. :shrug:

Have you considered going that extra mile and opening up a whole new world of photographic possibilities?
I live in Bournemouth so i use him as my film developer since i can just go to the shop and drop off and pick up my films.
I get develop only so i can't vouch for the quality of his scans but i can tell you medium format is done with an Epson V750 (last time i checked), not sure about 35mm though, probably best to just ring and ask him.
The guy who runs it has been doing it for 20 odd years so he knows his stuff and can answer any questions you have.
Never had any issues with his services, prices are reasonable and he's one of the few places left that do B&W, E6, C-41 in 35mm, 120 and even 5x4 now, he will actually do other formats like 127, 110 or whatever you can think of but you'll have to ring and ask specifically for that; he said to me that it would be a develop only service as scanning obscure formats probably isn't worth his time for the money.
Anyway yes i'd recommend him, he's busier than ever now which works out nice for me as with the increased E6 orders i can get my E6 done in a day or two because he has to run the machines more often to keep up with the orders.

Indeed a logical suggestion but I need a new younger body transplant and that's about my limit cycling...But all is not lost as to get out to a further distance I've taken the front wheel off the bike to fit in a car, then parked it, then cycled along the public footpaths to find something new.

I know the thread was started a while back, but for what it's worth I'd stick to Peak Imaging. I find their service is miles better than Snaps in that if anything goes wrong with the results Peak generally does its best to resolve it. If all is OK with Snaps then you might get a good result (I did on one occasion) but if it goes wrong IME they don't try to sort out anything. I had some terrible results last week and there was no reason to have to waste half the w/e trying to fix the dreadful scans Snaps did. The guy who runs it even emailed saying he wasn't obliged to to sort out the mess he made. Not pleased. Going back to Peak now. SN
