A couple of years ago, I thought I could fly, and fell 12 feet from a ladder , resulting in a magnificent fracture of my pelvis, I detailed the sorry saga in this thread

http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/please-be-careful.369371/

Anyway, 2 years down the line, I thought I would request copies of the X-Rays they took over the inpatient/outpatient treatment, so after paying the necessary fee, half a dozen CD's landed on my doorstep, with all the X-ray, CAT scan and MRI images.

The first X-ray is before I was operated on, the red arrows showing the cracking away between the pelvic wing (iliac crest) right down to my hip joint.

The second Xray , is shortly after being operated on, all pinned, screwed and clamped together, you can see the row of metal clips they used to 'stitch' the operation wound together.

3rd & 4th X-rays are from the other week, showing healthy bone tissue, with the offending parts well and truly bonded.

A cat scan showing the injury in context, to retain a modicum of dignity, and to prevent you blokes going green with envy, I've covered up using a jaunty mankini.

Finally, the actual tree/ladder I fell from, lopping some of the top branches.

A rather elegant dive I think, if Tom Daley happens to look in on the thread, perhaps an audition for 'Splash' is on the cards?

ROFL @ the mankini!!! Glad you're on the mend/mended. I might see if I can get a copy of an x-ray/MRI on my head. I can feel a couple of the Ti bits but not 100% sure where the 3rd corner of the triangular hatch is. I'm due another MRI soon (monitoring check) so will try to remember to ask for a copy.

Nice break!
I did something similar- trying to fly backwards into a loading bay- and broke my heel.
My heel bone that is meant to look like a hamburger ended up looking like Pacman.

Love the mankini too!

I once done my pelvis.....but that was courtesy of a bus......but not as bad as yours.....

Was it cold when they took the CAT scan?

Seriously, glad you are now sorted.
