I have been getting smudges on the back of the printing paper, using my Canon Pixma ip5200 printer (using genuine Canon Inks). I have tried Bottom Plate Cleaning to no avail. I wrote to Canon with regards,to the problem, which they replied, "If Bottom Plate Cleaning did not work, if the protrusions inside the printer are stained, wipe off any ink from the protrusions using a cotton swab or the like." which I have done and as not made any difference. They said if that did not cure the problem, then it would have to be sent in to sort the problem.
As the printer is a few years old I don't think sending it in is going to be cost effective.
1.Does anyone know if there anything else I can try to solve this problem?
2. What would be a good replacement Canon photo printer (5 inks) or may be an All in one.
