just recently when i open a image its asks me open as smart object and i cant work on the image until i flatten it!! why is this also how do i turn it off
don't know if connected but computer seams slower since this all started
i don't know what i did to switch it on ??
can any one help ?:shrug:
 
There is an open as smart object (I think) you may have clicked that by mistake. You should be able to turn it off in preferences (if I remember rightly) Are you opening from bridge or photoshop?

im opening from photoshop
its with every image now i have just looked in preferences and theres no check box ??

The best thing to do when Photoshop is doing strange things is to delete the preferences file. To do this, strart CS3 and press immedialtly Shift+Ctrl+Alt (if you are on PC)

dont know if that worked but will i was messing with alt and shift it allowed my to toggle between option so i got it to work i think
