Budget?

For that sort of money then go for it! It looks fine

Thinking bout something like this but only thing putting me of is aluminium and lightweight but apart from that its a perfect size
I thought you wanted to get low down? I'm guessing that's at least 8" to the top of the plate.

The lowest I've got the lens to the ground is with an old (cost me £40 second hand) Velbon tripod that allows you to reverse the centre column and hang the camera upside down between the tripod legs. Only really practicable if you've got wireless control or if your remote shutter release enters the side or front of the camera and not the top plate. But it will get your lens to (or even below) ground level. Second best is something with a removable centre-column and horizontally splayed legs that will get you as low as the height of the head plus 3/4-1" or so, the Sirui travel tripods will do this. The horizontal swinging centre column of the Manfrotto Pro B models is almost as good.

Manfrotto 190 X-Pro with the legs splayed fully and the centre column reversed will get the camera below "ground" level. Pretty sure that my old (pre X) 190 lets you do the same, although reversing the column is a bit of a faff!

ETA a shot of the thing to show it in action!
