Small-Sheet Non-Shiny Paper for ET-8550 Printer?

Yes
For the ET-8550, I like Epson Premium Luster paper. May not be the best, but then again, I am likely to make changes in the shots I want to put on my walls, so there is no point in committing to expensive paper right now. On the other hand, I don't want the super-cheap stuff that looks bad.

This paper does not come in sheets smaller than 8.5 x 11, and I would rather not cut up a whole sheet to print something 6 x 6 or smaller. Is there a good alternative out there for similar money, in smaller sheets?

I don't want shiny paper. Anything from flat to luster is okay. I have read that Epson makes a metallic-finish paper, but it sounds weird.

IIRC, Ilford Galerie papers are available in 6x4 size. Failing that, an A4 (sounds like that's what you've found) can be cut down to give 3 6x4 pieces.

Thanks for the reply. I'm in the US, so I have 8.5 x 11.

On the US centric fora, Red River papers get recommended........so perhaps see what they have to offer???

IIRC Keith Cooper was sent some RR papers to try out.

HTH:)

It looks like the pickings get scarce when you get choosy about print size, so I may just give up and start cutting.

You might find some 7x5 inch papers available as it's a (slightly large) postcard size. I use Permajet Oyster 271 gsm in 7x5, got a great deal on 100 for the price of 50. However, maybe not an option for you as (a) you're in the US and (b) you might mean 6x6 inches rather than centimetres!

I use a fair bit of titanium lustre - it's a very good paper for b/w with lots of detail and contrast. This was printed on the gloss version and was chosen for print of the year in my local club..

I think I'll get some metallic paper just so I can see what it is.

See if any suppliers sell sample packs.
