SLPOTY 4 (2017)

A fail for me this year unfortunately. As per usual there are some really fantastic images in there, and I'm sure the book will be a stunner as usual. This time I recognise so many of the pictures as being from the Assynt area - it's getting like Iceland up there now! And I can't talk as I was up there a few weeks ago and it is superb. In fact it's not like Iceland at all - it's far better.

Anyone on here get a win or commended?

A chap I shoot with a lot (Rory Marland) was commended, for the weaker of his two shortlisted shots we both think. No accounting for taste eh?

Having moved to Scotland late last year I hope to enter the next one. Fortuna iuvat audentes and all that.

Oooh yes - I saw that on the Daily Telegraph website - very nice indeed. I do like the pastel shades and the drama.

Thanks Andy. I've visited Elgol hundreds of times, but this time it was special...and worth the drenching that followed bagging this set :D

My Evergreen Love for Pastel!
The sea looks amazing!

I was shortlisted but a "Dear John" :) There really are some super images in the winner list so well done to everyone.

I took a highly commended with one of my many Elgol shots...

Congratulations Martin, I love the pastel colours and the drama unfolding from a great place which I've never really got anything from.
