Hello!

I've just bought a new lens (Sigma 50-500), and I'm really keen to get a proper shoulder sling strap, but there seems to be so much choice and I'm just not sure what would be best.

Can anyone recommend any particular brand?

I have the black rapid sport and absolutely love it. One of the absolute best bits of kit i have ever acquired as i have a chronic back problem which also manifests in my neck and this makes carrying a decent chunk of weight camera wise a breeze.

Cheers Keeweeman, I've been looking at the RS-7 - do you know what the difference is between that and the sport? Looks like an "armpit" loop!?

love my RS-7

I have the black rapid sport and find it great, apart from one thing. The camera swivels about on the carabiner and can be a bit annoying. I've just bought the peak design slide which is much better in this regards, but it's not quite as comfortable as the black rapid on the shoulder. Not at all bad though and still comfortable, just the BR is very very comfortable. I am going to stick with the peak design for a while though and see how I get on as the lack of camera movement is a great plus, as is the release mechanism.

Wex have the Black Rapid RS7 in moss green for £39, a decent saving over the "standard" black one at £52. I've just rung them to see if there were any differences in specs, but was assured that they're exactly the same product. It seems that the lower price is due to the moss ones not selling as well apparently, as they've just returned a load to Black Rapid. Needless to say, I've ordered a moss one!
