Hello everyone,

I was just looking into the back of an edition of Digital SLR Photography and found that there was a review of tripods ranging from £150-£800. I know that you shouldn't skimp out on tripods as you really get what you pay for so I looked through and it seemed that the Slik Pro 700DX was a pretty good all round tripod. I wasn't originally looking to get one right now as it was priced in the magazine at £190 but I decided to google it and see what came up. To my surprise a result came up for this tripod and head (it comes with a head as standard) for £85.00 including VAT. I was wondering if the model number was perhaps a misprint or if it isn't that good after all. The link can be found here.

Is this too good to be true?

I tried to order the Slik 700DX some time ago but do you think I could find stock? Nobody had one. £85 was about the rigt price f I recall. Ended up with an 055Pro instead. As for £190 ?, that's seems very steep for what it is.

I bought 3 Slik 700DX Tripods for about that price. Decent tripod for the price, but damn heavy. Its not one id like to take trekking. The head also isn't bad, but it is a 3 way which im not too keen on.

I thought it was a 4-way? Having said that, what exactly is the 'fouth way' anyway? :|
