Hello,
I have an epson 2100 printer and now use "7 day shop" satin/pearl paper and ebay supplied bulk pigment ink. It seems very good, but I'm getting slight colour casts on my prints, not far out but not near enough for club competitions. I'm pretty sure the colour management is set up correctly- so I think the epson profile for semi gloss is not quite near enough.
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced company for this ?

Thanks for any anticipated help!
Andy

Sorry but that's one of the prices you have to pay when using 3rd party inks! Once you've paid for proper profiles for your ink/paper combination, you can easily wipe out the savings you originally made on inks.

The wrong but probably easiest way to sort the cast is to fiddle with the driver settings, reducing the colour that's giving the cast - cut sheets of paper down - a 6x4 print should show the same colours as an A4. Once you've got the colours correct, save the created profile. Might be worth leaving a print out in sunlight and in the dark to see how quickly the inks fade (another joy of 3rd party inks in my experience!) to give a different colour problem. Also worth doing regular prints to reduce the chances of ink clogs (yet another joy of 3rd party inks!).

Since you're already a 7dayshopper, check their genuine ink prices - yes, still not cheap but less unaffordable than many other places AND, colours will be better, prints will fade slower and heads will clog slower.
