Does anyone know of a UK firm which does something similar to this:

I recently got a skyport transmitter/receiver and tried to connect a Hama hotshoe to the receiver using the pc->minijack cable that comes with it and a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack adaptor.

However, when I press the test button on the transmitter, the LED light on the receiver flashes, but the flash doesn't fire, so I'm assuming that the pc->minijack cable + hama hot shoe combination isn't working?

Anyone got any advice as to how best to connect these things? The search button yielded the flashzebra cable, but ordering stuff from the US seems a little extreme.

Cheers - after doing some reading it would appear that the flash isn't firing as the hotshoe I am connecting it to has a plastic circle in the middle of it, where it should have a metal circle to connect to the strobe.

To connect to the skyport, I'd need a female to 3.5mm cable, or a male to 3.5mm cable and a new hot shoe. With that in mind I ordered the cable from flashzebra and paid the $6 postage as having it all in one thing is fewer bits of wire to lose :).
