Hi all,
Bit of a weird one- my sky hd box is working fine except when I go to SkyNews the screen is blue and it says "no signal" All other channels appear to be fine! Anyone else experienced similar? Is there a fix?

Steve

You can only view it if you voted Tory at the last general election. Actually no, that's politics and naughty.....

....erm, have you tried the obvious unplug for 30 seconds and then plug in again?

I had this a while back... was only on one particular kids channel (shame:D) sometimes it would work during the day then evening from around 5 onwards nothing.. no fix ideas tho sorry as something else then went wrong and i had new equipment, it didn't do it after so maybe it was part of it, although i did think it odd too that it was just one channel

Could be a duff LNB (the mushroom in the middle of your dish). We had similar with film4 when we had our home move done, new LNB from the sky man fixed it. They can and do fail randomly, even from new it seems.

Cheers for all the replies- will try the reset when the box is free !

I sometimes get this on all channels. Unplugging seems to do the trick.

Lnb are very easy to replace i only had 4 put put on mine but when i did a decorating i ripped the floor up and put two wires in to one wall so i have cables at each side of the house as well as one upstairs

aslong as you fix it in the exact position there is is issued i set mine up next to the other and removed it not had a problem yet but can now have 4 hd boxes or even 8 single boxes on this now

altough i would still recomend a sky engineer to fit one as you still should check the signal strenth to be sure

Had similar issues with 2 channels.

Sky sent engineer. New compact dish and new lnb all better.
