Can anyone explain to me why I would want to use Sky Anytime?
We have it but have never used it because as far as I can see, it is a load of programs from during the week that you may have missed.

I just press the R button to record anything I want onto the hard drive at the time it is on to watch later,,, so why would I want to use Sky Anytime?

is it just in case of the tiny possiblility you have forgotten to record something onto your sky planner?

Its only their selected programs anyway isnt it..might not even have what you may have missed.

Janice, please. Put the technology down and step away. :p :)

Yeah you'll only scratch it!

It is Sky's way of offering a video-on-demand service. Because you cannot do that by satellite they instead send a small selection of programmes which your Sky+ box records on an unused part of the hard disk (so it does not affect the space used by your normal recordings) for you to select from.

I do not get it (though that is another story) as my Sky+ is an older one, but I do not think I am missing anything. But because Virgin and other companies offer video-on-demand Sky have to offer something to keep up. Now if they made it intelligent enough to see what sort of programmes you watch and send you a selection you might be interested in but never watched, then that would be useful.

Michael.

Thanks Michael.

I record all i want to watch with the touch of a button, or have it on a series link to do automatically, and play it back when I like, so cant see any point using it!
