Skin softening the easy way....

glad someone else got some use out of it.

Nooooooo!!!!!!!!

Spend all your time trying to get a sharp shot, then blur it!!

I also find it a bit ridiculous that he uses an already retouched image for the skin smoothing part!

Selective colour is very useful for colour correction though I'd have thought a bit more explanation on colour theory would help understnd exactly whats going on.

Try these tutorials, from someone who works on the likes of Vogue and Harpers Bazaar

Jason, I agree with you in the sense that...
Spend all your time trying to get a sharp shot, then blur it!!

But; if this method is not over-used or exaggerated - is it not a quick simple solution??
Sorry, Im new-ish to all this PP stuff and it seems quite handy if used selectively!

Will check out your link when I get a chance to give it my proper attention - in work at the moment!

Heck, I got bored before he did anything in the video, but I took a look around his website..

I know we're not supposed to attack anybody's work, particularly if they aren't here to defend it, so I won't. I will say that I'm at a loss as to why Canon and Adobe are attaching themselves to an practitioner of that standard. That's assuming the images in the gallery are his, and not example pieces from other people or something strange like that.
