Is it Stan Drew's day?

Already got my kilt and sporran out (have to decide which sporran but the kilt is an easy choice - the heavy one!) as I'm in the office tomorrow. It's also my 6 year anniversary of being in my job which is a record for me :p

Don't panic, "everyone" is getting a turn (y)

I'll be braving it tomorrow, too, despite predicted temperatures of -10c. Norwegians are always very curious as they are ardent national dress users themselves and I always get lots of questions - including many about the use or otherwise of undergarments...:giggle:

I was forced to wear the kilt to a family wedding when I was about six - hated it. I only joined a pipe band later because we wore trews... :coat:

My mum made my first kilt (she was a seamstress)when I was 5, and according to her, when my teacher said to me on prize-giving day, "That's a nice kilt, Malcolm" My reply was, "Yes, my mum made it. She's an ancient McDonald..." I have used that tartan ever since...

St Andrews, day looks like a very good reason to break open a bottle of Blair Athol Single Malt, us Celts must stick together!

Sounds like a plan to me. I shall be cracking the neck on a bottle of Laphroaig this evening...

Its a good job that "we" are a UK based site then isn't it?

I await the glorious first (August, Yorkshire Day).
