Things are being a pain in the ass at the moment different issues getting on my last nerve...sometimes you need just a simple pleasure in life just to make things good for a little time...

Just had a simple round of toast with butter and honey, and it was bliss, so come one what simple little things brighten up your day?

And yeah I'm damn bored and even more fed up hence the chatting and mostly pointless thread

Nice hot bath after a long day.

.....with a large G&T! :D

Thought these only happened on a Friday night? :)

Go on then, I'll bite! (pun intended)
Fried corned beef & curry sauce, Mmmmmm.

Though you have also reminded me of another, Ice cold orange squash  I love my ice dispenser :D though sloe gin on the rocks is also very goooooooood too

Le Zap de Spion on you tube. Always good at the end of a hard day

Yeah but Friday ones are normally invaded by a snake that likes to cause trouble :suspect: so I thought I sneak in under the radar and catch him off guard :D

I'll have to say that sounds a little odd to me, but then I don't like curry, but hey it's your pleasure so rock on as they say enjoy it

Shooting calms me down. I'm not some sort of psychopath or anything, it's just good to imagine the persons face who's annoyed me on a watermelon:rolleyes:

Lying in bed while 3/4 asleep, listening to the cat purring.
Lying on a beach, listening to the waves gently lapping on the sand.
[JS]A good s***![/JS]

A walk along San Juan beach to watch the sun rise over the calm blue sea.

This might be a bit soppy, but a big hug from the kids when I've been away...

My kids are big softies. I don't know who wouldn't cheer up with some affection from their kids:D I get the same reaction from my dogs when I leave them for 5minutes as well lol

A glass of ice cold milk.

Could go on for ages on this, scallops, Stornoway Black Pudding and Shepherd Neame 1698 for instance, but on a daily basis - the first cup of tea of the day is always really good.

Cryptic crossword on the throne with a cup of tea.

I find it quite amusing that, with the exception of a couple of people, the simple pleasures all seem to revolve around food :D

Where are all the romantics?!?

Sitting watching a sunrise
Seeing my Daughter smile
Out in the garden in the summer with a good book (or photography mag)

To follow on with the majority on here; Toasted sesame seed bagel with marmite and a good cuppa! ;)

I think it's a case of its called comfort food for a reason :P

Oh no you didn't :p

The simple pleasures in life (per se) Hmmmm
Reading OoF threads that are totally useless,
but generally manage to raise a smile :p

If we are talking food,
Peanut butter and mature cheese sandwich (y)

Or Marmite on toast :)

In a similar vain to your enjoyment of OOF I get a pleasure from certain sections of the forum and my contribution there oh and fail videos on you tube :D

That post is worthless without the pictures

You mean like that? /\
:D

Interesting the my choices weren't food related, especially since I'm more food motivated than the cat!

Much as I love sunrises and sunsets, seeing a sunrise here involves me getting out of bed and effort=/=simple!

(BTW, the effort involved is probably why I didn't include a QOOTW in my list!!!)

cheese tarts.... sorry i know it is food but i love cheese tarts..

Simple pleasure are too often overlooked, Matt.

For me, it's looking at my daughter's face when she is asleep. She looks ike an angel.

Cheers.

A large cup of Yorkshire Tea, some good music and maybe a couple of chocolate Hob Nobs... Bliss.

Well that worked for me...until the Marmite

The very thought of peanut butter makes me nauseous lol

Watching the cats or dogs do something completely moronic when they think you haven't seen them.

Those smells, you know the ones, rain on hot dry earth...and grass cuttings....and fresh coffee... and fresh bread

The 'kitten' [now 7mths old but will always be referred to as kitten] curling up on my pillow as I am drifting off to sleep and purring with a sound like a Geiger counter.

One that only occurred to me today, driving home from a shoot, sitting on a slip road off the A1 in standing traffic and raining. I opened the car window and next to me the grass verge was packed with michaelmas daisies and a wealth of long grasses and beyond those the hawthorns were in flower - I suddenly felt immensely cheered inspite of the rain and the traffic.

Sand between your toes on a beach, especially if the first time since the previous year

I could probably go on and on if I thought hard about it, but thats probably enough for now ;)
