Ok, I've used Photoshop for a while but wouldn't say I'm anywhere above average when it comes to processing.

Something I noticed the other night... when you open a photograph in Photoshop is it better to use the crop tool? Or unlock the layer, transform it and enlarge it?

:thinking:

Cheers :D

:thinking:Not sure what you mean. What are you actually trying to do? Both do very different things.

I really don't know :thinking::D

If I have a photo that didn't have enough zoom on it and want to keep the photo the same size... is it better to crop what you want of the image down then resize it in image size or better to transform the photo up in size to fit the photo :thinking::cuckoo:

  1. Choose crop tool
  2. Click on little box that says front image
  3. Drag out over bit of picture you want to keep.
  4. Hold down left mouse button and drag cursor to fine tune position of crop box.
  5. Press enter to crop.
  6. Image will then be same size but just showing the bit you want.

i personally dont worry about image size untill i've finished processing. Processing can include any cropping of the image.

then just resize it to as you want for the web, for printing etc...

BUT REMEMBER TO KEEP THE ORIGINAL!!!
