Yes
OK, I can't wait any longer, and have ordered a 30d to replace my 300d.
Nothing wrong with the 300d, but the cash back offer ends soon, and I really need the new body (not want, NEED).
So, while I have read about it, can anyone who is bored and wants to massage my ego or whatever (ooh err..) tell me what sort of treat I am in for..?
I have held a 5d, but not a 30d - so, go on and make me feel all excited !!
I am also getting a 50 1.8, my only (first ?) prime lens with it. Will the batteries from a 300d fit the 30d ?

Blimey, am I kid like or what ?

I upgraded from a 300D to a 30D and yes the batteries work :).

As for the difference in feel / use etc **insert porn smiley here**

// the neck strap isn't as good as the 300D , get a TPF strap , it's lovely//

I also did the 300d-30d upgrade, you'll find the batteries don't last quite as long in the 30d (because it never really switches off) but it's not a big thing. You'll take a few days to get used to the new control layout but you won't look back, the 30d is a beautiful bit of kit.
If you own a battery grip for the 300d get one for the 30d as well you'll miss it, the 30d is much more solid and professional feeling if you're like me you'll be stroking it for days ;)

mij - I am already irresistable to MOST others, but I don't make a habit of discussing my stroking habits..
