Not sure if this is the correct forum so mods feel free to move but....
A while back I encountered an issue with IS on my Sigma 18-125 so filled out the pro-forma on their website in order to return it. Being a lazy so n so and wanting to use the lens over the summer (fault was intermittent) I didn't send it back straight away. I then realised that I had gone over the one year warranty and resided myself that I'd have to pay for my laziness. I contacted Sigma and spoke to one of the guys in the service centre. Turns out that because I purchased it from a UK dealer (SRS Watford) I actually had a three year warranty and wouldn't have to pay after all.
I sent the lens to Sigma on Thursday last week expecting the stated 3 week wait to get it back. I got an email this Thursday saying the IS had been replaced and would be with me by Friday, which it duely did.
Its not often that I sing the praises of any company but on this occasion I wanted to give credit where its due.
