sigma os mode

I shoot mainly motorsports and air shows and I'm wondering if you could me with witch is the best OS mode on the sigma lens

1 for general use and 2 if panning.

Not sure about motorsport (I presume you would use mode 2 as it's mainly panning) but when I do an airshow I tend to turn off OS if using a shutter speed above 1/500th (mainly jets). If doing prop aircraft then I use mode 2 as you are again panning (although a lot slower than with motorsport)
