Hi all,

After a wee bit of advice. I am looking at hiring the following Sigma lens for a trip to Cornwall. I fancy playing with a telephoto for mainly wildlife shots....

Sigma 120-400mm f4.5-5.6 APO GD OS HSM (Nikon)

I will be using this with my Nikon D7000 which is obviously a DX format. As I understand it, it's not a problem all will happen is the focal length will be cropped?
 
It'll work fine. Great lens, Im currently borrowing one, although I have bought one, its had the special Royal mail treatment and dissapeared.

Ive just been playing with it on my new D3100 body. Pretty hilarious, you cant really see the camera as its obscured by the huge ass lens.

The copy I have here is very sharp and the VR/OS works well.
On my D700 I was handholding at 400mm with a shutter of 1/40sec and getting perfectly sharp results.
