sigma lens help req

anyone know why my sigma 120-300 f2.8 os nikon fit
will not fit onto my nikon 1.7tc
it fits onto my d500 and d850 no problem
i don't understand it ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
if i need to buy a different 1.4tc whats the best one to buy ?

It may be Nikon mount but could this issue simply(?) be that due to the optical construction the Nikon TC is not compatible with the Sigma lens???

It needs a tab/lug removing from the lens mount side on the nikon teleconverter, very easy to do if you want to do it.

I did mine in a couple of minutes, all 4 screws came out of the mount easy and I removed the lug with a file holding the mount in me hand, nothing complicated

I did this a while back but had better results with the Sigma 1.4tc than the 1.7 Nikon( maybe it was a 1.4Nikon- a while ago so cant remember)
