Hi

I've got a Sigma Flash EF-530 DG ST (not the super version).

I want to achieve some soft lighting (for photographing pets). Can I use the flash gun off camera in say a light box or something? Or can anyone suggest another technique? If I need to buy a trigger or something, please tell me exactly what I need and any suggestions where to buy.

I've lost the instructions.

Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated as I really am a novice.

Thanks for the replies.

Jelster, I'll get my husband to make one of those diffusers tomorrow and give it a go. ;);) Although he's rubbish at putting shelves up, he should be able to manage that.

I can't put shelves up either  That's why I have a camera and the wife has a drill

I've noticed that Sigma flashes are a bit fierce - is this common? To soften it try wrapping a tissue round it held on with a rubber band. Cheap and cheerful!
