sigma ef530 dg super??

is the sigma flash really an alternative to the 580ex i ask because i went to a wedding yesterday and the tog had a 40d with a sigma 530 flash not sure what glass she had but i would love to have known

well i have just looked at your site and i take it some of the pics you have on there are with the sigma and they dont look too shabby

It's a good flash, you just have to live with knowing that the equipment snobs know it's cheaper. I know, I've had this crap from a few of the aforementioned. Don't worry about it, it's worth it, you can put the cash you save towards more/better glass......
