Hi i am after some advice, i am after buying a wide angled lens but cannot decide between the canon 10-22 and the sigma 10-20 or even the tamron 10-24 i have read loads of reviews and just cant decide. My camera body is a canon 550d so i am leaning towards canon but i have sigma lenses and they are quality. All advice welcome.

Went down the same route...decided to go with the Canon and have been very happy with my choice.

Canon offering £60 cashback on this lens at the moment...ohps sorry only if bought before 5 June 2012..

I was in a similar position, but had a limited budget. I went for the siggy and have been very happy. I would say its not perhaps as sharp as I would like, but that may be my eyes!

In this months Digital Camera magazine (the one with the hummingbird on the front), they are reviewing all the UWA. The siggy does very well, and comes a close 2nd to the Nikon UWA. In their test, they reported the Canon isnt as sharp as the siggy (so it is my eyes then!).

There are a few choices depending on what you want it for.
The sigma 10-20 (cheaper version) is very good and good value for money. The canon is supposed to be better but quite a bit more.
Sigma also do a 8-16 if you want the extra wide angle.
Tokina do a 11-16 f/2.8. Not really for landscapes where you want a narrow aperture but for shots in a nightclub etc... It would be very good.
I would avoid the tamron.
