I have had this lens for a couple of months bought from Jessops and Have not used it much but will be this weekend for cowes Week , I thought I would check the lens was clean,as you do, and there is a tiny white speck of debris/dust/fluff inside the front element , I do not use filters and this speck is 100% inside the lens not on the outside....what should I do?? Ignore it??? Or wait till after cowes week and take it back???

The odd spec of dust inside a lens is quite common and nothing to be concerned about.

If it doesn't affect the photos you take, then I wouldn't worry about it really!! I know how annoying it can be just knowing it is there though!

take a shot with it on maximum aperture and see if you can see it if not dont worry about it as stated above

i have had dust in my lenses and the one mentioned and it never showed up in the pics and shifted after a while anyway.

I do appreciate these answers and comments from people, they are very helpful and save a lot of hassle
