Hi all,

I've just had my sigma delivered today I purchased off someone and i'm over the moon with it... Now I know how to use my camera; I know how to use my lenses... but this lens is totally different to what i'm used to using... It's heavier, it's bigger, it's got a collar, it weighs more than the camera... and as daft as it sounds, although I know how to use my camera... I don't know how to use or handle this lens. my wrist hasn't built up the strength needed to support it yet, so the OS is going to be massive for me...

Sigma instructions say that when using the OS; you should OS switch on; Then pre-focus; allow it a second, then when the image looks stable, shoot... how does this work when using continuous focus mode? (i use back button focusing with continuous focusing mode) should it still work the same way? or will the lack of "focus lock" cause the OS not to function correctly?

Any other tips on how to get the most out of this lens is appreciated!
Just cant wait to take it out on a test run.

The two should work together without you even noticing. :)

Support the lens with the other hand by holding the collar and you'll find you'll soon get used to it. (y)

I’ve never even thought about it, just shoot, the OS will do it’s thing in the background. Ive shot at 30fps at 600mm equivalent on my Fuji xt3 tracking my dogs running and ever shot is stable, so it just works, once it’s activated, it stays activated until you stop shooting.
