So I have the sigma 610 DG super flash gun. I want to know how to use the gun off camera? What would I need to trigger the flash wirelessly from my camera? Haven't had any luck searching google for my answer.

Hi Gary,

May help other if you confirm what camera body you are using. Sorry I cannot help.

This and what you want to do a bit more precisely.
Are you wanting to control the light or just fire it?

I'm using a Nikon d3300

I'm finding using my flash gun on camera I am lighting the whole room rather than directing the light to where I want it. Also would like to try the light from different angles and have a play about.

Thanks for the reply guys.

Also I know I will need some sort of attachment o.e soft box to direct the light if I am thinking correctly.

I'll assume you want to control the lights rather than just fire them.

You'll need these triggers other triggers are available but might not do what you need

And if you want a softbox, this is my recommendation, I couldn't find a UK one on Amazon

and a stand, you can get cheaper stands, up to you

By control rather than just fire, do you mean put all the settings in from the camera rather than messing with the gun itself? Many thanks for the recommendations. Wasn't sure if other brand triggers would work with the sigma gun I have.

Yes I meant to control the flash - but you can't put the camera settings into it. It would either work iTTL or you could set the power manually (recommended in a static setup). I can't promise it'll work, but the Canon versions of those triggers work with that flash.
