anyone using this lens ?
whats iq like on your camera ?

I used to have one. It was okay, but I have to say that the Tamron 150 to 600 VC which I upgraded to is light years ahead in terms of IQ and AF.

That said, if you are looking for a cheap long telephoto, there is nothing wrong with the sigma.

Its his own thread as well... From a week ago, maybe itll be a new Wednesday question...

didn't get much info from the reply that was posted

Id imagine if you'd have replied to the bit of advice you got in first thread others might have followed suit.. Just a tip :)

I've just got myself the 50-500's older brother, the 150-500 OS, and they're similar by most accounts. As a hobbyist photographer (with pro experience) I would say the af/os of the lens are fine, not perfect but fine, and it is very sharp. Heavy though. Perfect for my occasional use but it might be worth spending on something newer if its for professional/every day use.
