Sigma 28-70 f2.8

The Sigma 24-70mm which is 2.8 throughout the range, the only problem with sigma is they have quality control issues, if you get a good copy they normally are great, but if you get a bad one it means eithier changing it or sending it to sigma for calibration.
 
Don't know if it's the 24-70 tel48 mentions above that you mean but I have the 28-70. The shot below was taken at 28mm at f4. it's as it came out of the camera, just resized for flickr

Got it from a guy cheap on ebay and it's a good enough lens to use as a walkabout though mine does get suffer from flare below 5.6.

Its a great lens, although I had to send the first one back because it was to soft.
I sent it back on the Monday & received the replacement from warehouse express 3 days later! ( I'd had the lens for 3 weeks)
