Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro for Canon

Hi, there is one of these for sale in the classifieds - its the non OS HSM version. I have read reviews that state its a good lens.

Question is would I be better off paying a bit more and getting a brand new OS and HSM version of this lens?

Well I've got the non OS version & I really don't feel the need for it. I love this lens, it's always attached to my camera.

I bought the non is one a while ago. Pleased with it. When I sought advise most people were under the impression that the old one was better than the new version. Go for it!
