Sigma 150-600C with Canon Extenders

I'm wondering about being able to use the Canon Extender EF1.4 III with a Sigma 150-600 Contemporary, apparently the lens information states that "only" the Sigma extenders work!

Has anybody used this lens with a Canon Extender?

I tried it a while back, only worked manual focus, OS system made awful 'clicking' noises. (On 90D)

Depends on the body, I have the Canon and Sigma extenders and both work.

Mike what Canon bodies have you found both extenders to work?

I have just tried the sigma and the 1.4x III on a 5D IV and the body gave a E01 error and lens communication error

I no longer have the Sigma 150-600mm C but I do have the Sport and if I remember correctly it says the same about that lens as well.

Just tried the 1.4x III on both my 7D MKII and little M5 to make sure I remembered correctly ... both focused fine (although obviously with limited points and quite slowly)
