sigma 150-600 lens

hello I'm thinking about getting myself a sigma 150-600 lens it will be mainly used for taking shots off cars around various tracks are the uk but with a few aboard like Bathurst this year I'm just asking for any advice on wether will be ok for what I need or a bit of an overkill my only other lens I have is a Nikon 70-300 and I'm fairly new and inexperienced at this photo taking cheers for any advice

Judging by some of the images posted in those I'd say you would be ok with it.

Hi bud I used the 150-600 Sport lens at Brands Hatch race track a few weeks back. You can view a selection of shots at various focal lengths in my gallery here - http://www.ae-photography.co.uk/albums/12-07-2015-hscc-brands-hatch-photos/

I own some high end kit (e.g 300mm 2.8 prime) and I was pretty impressed. Been meaning to finish a little review of it.
