Sigma 150-500mm for a 400d?

looking at bying a Sigma 150-500mm f5-6.3 RF DG OS will this work? if not does any1 have any recomendations as to a good lens for zoom?

As long as its the Canon fit one yes it will work fine. You might want the battery grip as its quite big and the 400d is quite small but that's just preference.

Yes, it will work fine with the 400D.

It is a great lens and yes I would also recommend a battery grip, or a couple of spare batteries. This lens eats battery power.

Great lens as these things go. They lose a lot of value quick though so you might want to consider getting a nice, used example ?

Meant to add that for the price of a 150-500 new you will get a mint 100-400L or 400L or 300L plus TC all of which offer advantages but less FL. Alternatively (and you do not see many around ) you should be able to get a used Siggy 50-500 OS which gives you the FL and which is an altogether better lens.

Just my 2p worth.
