Gets a good write up. Down side is the variable maximum aperture but it's still pretty fast and sharp. As you zoom out in lower light, you really need to watch the shutter speeds.
Even better than that it delivers a performance which matches and sometimes even exceeds more expensive lenses. This includes the in-house competition as well as genuine brand lenses (such as the Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 USM IS).
Don't hold back, for the money it really is a cracking lens imo
I have one of these, and its my 90% lens, stays on the cam 90% of the time, produces some cracking sharp images, you will not be dissapointed. Great price for a cracking lens.
