Shutter actuation on EOS 10D/20D/30D

Right, I'm in the process of putting together the 'wish list' for the photographic department at my work. Aside from cooking up a list of amazingly nice gear for us to use (even though I doubt we'll get half of it) I want to see just how much use the cameras we currently use have actually had, hence the shutter actuation figures.
How do you find these out on the above cameras?
 
Sorry, it's only possible with the 1 series bodies.

thought you could find it out via canon? ie send your camera in to them?

Apologies...I thought you were meaning from a user point of view. You can indeed send the bodies to Canon and they can read the embedded count using service software.

Right, now to convince the bosses that we should by 10x EOS 5Ds :) :)
 
kmlc, will have to pull out all the stops to get that order through the accounts dept. though.
We have a raft of 20D and 30D bodies, and one 40D, but because a lot of our guys work in confined spaces (taking pics on boats and in tight swims at lakes) just think the full frame potential with wideangle lenses will be better for us. I know we loose focal length on the telephotos but hey ho, such is life.
 
Weather proofing, if enough 20ds 'get wet' they'll see the sense in buying 1 series cameras instead :)
 
My company are a bit tight at times. It's only recently they've actually started to understand that a good camera can make life much easier for the 'togger AND the guys in the repro dept. who have to process the images.

We currently all run 17-40mm 'L', 75-300mm IS, amd 100mm macro lesnes, plsu there are a few 10-22mm EF-S and standard 28-90mm lenses knocking around. It's just the bodies we use that are a bit weak.
 
The 5D is a good choice. It's more Pro than consumer and I think the shutter is rated at 150000 actuations ,but I can't remember where I saw that. Don't forget it won't take the EF-S lenses. Not sure if this is relevant, but it does not have a pop up flash like the other cameras you have. So if you need flash you'll need to budget for it
 
we use 550EXs and 580 EXs as flashes. I think we have one or two 10-22mm EF-S lenses, but the majority are the 17-40mm L, which measn we can have 'true' 17mm wideangles at last. Fingers crossed...
