Just for a bit of fun. Following on from another thread, here's a link to the shutter count for your EOS 1D MK1 http://www.mediafire.com/?btm0mnhmtdy or there's this one:-
1. Download this exif reader: http://www.takenet.or.jp/~ryuuji/minisoft/exifread/english/download.html (I'm presuming any EXIF reader will do it though?)
2. Take a picture with your 1D
3. Copy file to your HD
4. Open the file with exif reader
5. Look for the line: Unknown (0093)3,9: 18,0,XXXXX,0,0,0,65535,65535,0
6. XXXXX = how many shutter actuations on your camera.
but... there may be a multiplier in prior to the comma 18,X,XXXXXX if so add 65535 (for every 1 in this field) to the figure.
and then add 1 to the final as the count starts from 0 and not 1
Mines currently on 275,884 and still going strong (apart from a small mark on the sensor which you can only see when using a small aperture). It's now been put to rest as a back up due to the MK111. Can anyone beat it???
