Thinking of selling my (mint) Canon 5D Mk1, I fancy a 5D Mk2.

So how do I find out how many shutter actions my 5D Mk1 has done ? Can anyone advise me please?

Thank you.

Myshuttercount doesn't support Canon files at the moment.......

Even if it did then it wouldn't work for the original 5D as the count info isn't included in the image files.

From what I understand only a Canon service centre can tell you the shutter count for that camera.

I think it's EOScount you can use

Not sure if it supports the 5D ?

From the eoscount FAQ page:
DIGIC II and dual DIGIC III cameras are not supported. For example, shutter count is not available for the original 5D (Mark I), the 1D Mark III, and the 1Ds Mark III.

Hi Chris

Yep your right, miss read the post on POTN

3 guesses who's thinking of selling his 5Dc and has already been round these particular houses :)

Think I'd be just as happy as the OP if someone comes along with a way short of Canon.........
