Thought I'd take the bait and follow on from visualisetheworld's thread!! :D Sorry to be predictable but someone had to do it! I'm looking at both the 10-20 and nifty fifty and would love to see some nifty shots that you have taken! Thanks!
 
Having looked at that link I think I am getting confused - I have been looking at getting the Nikon f1.4 50mm - is that not a nifty fifty as well as the f1.8? And can anyone show me shots taken with the 1.4?
 
They are both "nifty fiftys" yes!

i have the f1.8 version like most people and it is truley cracking, if you really think its worth spending an extra £100 or so for the extra bit of stop, then go for it!
 
You are right dizzledazzle think I have just decided to get the f1.8, at that price I can also get the tripod I want fo rthe price of the f1.4. I can then save for my next purchase of the Sigma 10-20! Sometimes we just want to rush in and get everything at once don't we! I am in the early stages of learning so don't want to rush in there until i know what I am doing a bit more!
 
Thanks mattyh - my knowledge of the English language is not so great after all!! Or maybe it's coming from Wigan that does it! Ha ha!!
 
Just bought one from Kerso and can't wait until it's delivered. Not had my 400d long so like you Webby loads to learn and want to take my time and not rush head long into things :)
 
I've been playing with the TP Canon nifty for a couple of weeks and it's great!
It's a really good exercise to pop one on your camera, take it everywhere and try to get as creative as you can with that one lens. It's ability to shoot those shallow depth of field shots is great.
I'm having fun with it and I'm due to pass it on soon so I'll be submitting some pics to the nifty site soon.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this thread or this website. TP's (well mine) very own nifty on its travels. There's an excellent body of pics up there now and a good indication of what it can do.
