Need some help/advice. Plan to do some till still life/ product shots soon.. Lighting wise I use Lencarta 300s. I am debating whether to buy a shooting table. What can people recommend. I have seen some on ebay and do not want to spend loads. Cheers

Don't know whether this helps, but it's best to get something twice the size you think you need - I don't feel that the mini ones are much use for anything.

I tried the little lighting tents from Maplins - cost around £12 - ok for very small items.

I then cought a pasting table and chopped it in half and the hinge, then mounted the extra half ontot he long side, giving a wider table to use. I now have enough room to postion lights etc, plus I can clip or pin backdrops to the upright at the rear of the table.

£6 for the table in Tesco

I have a number of tables that I use, including a calumet shooting table that is pretty good. It's small enough for home use and has a curved perspex surface with a gloss and matt side.

It's way too expensive for what it is and a home made version would be just as good, sadly one needs to present a certain look for clients though.
