The main thing is metering and getting exposure correct, the white snow will fool the camera in to under exposing and making the snow grey. Use some exposure compensation to sort it out.
If it helps, I've always used manual exposure taking spot metering readings off your subject. Take plenty of shots early on to fine tune your exposure - it's not as if we need to pay for film anymore is it!!
