Hi all,
after attending my first WRC event in North Wales at the end of last year and loving it, I'm heading out next weekend to Faro for the Portuguese stages.
Now my plan has always been to take my camera along, but as I get closer to the event I'm getting cold feet about using my equipment in such a dusty environment- does anyone have any experience of shooting in dusty conditions and what impact it has on equipment?
I'm using a 5D3 with 17-40mm and 70-200mm f4, all with protective filters. I'm shooting for 3 days so will pick a lens in the morning and keep it on all day. Will the weather sealing on the camera/lens hold up or is this still a risk?
Some pics from google to give you an idea of what I'll be up against -
