Yes
so i decided to rent a nikon 24-70 2.8 to practice with and planned a fun little family shoot with my cousin and her family. we were planning on starting around 3:30 ish and my plan was to work in some of the nicely shaded areas and then maybe get some nice sunset light.... well they just called and have to push up the time to noon! not the best time for lighting but i think working with what you have got is important so i agreed... any good tips or suggestions that i can use for tomorrow???

Wellies, splashing in puddles.hope for a tiny break in the cloud cover to create some kind of background contrast.

I wouldn't worry too much about noon sun, or that you have missed a sunset. Today, the earlier time will just give you a couple of stops more light.

But if you really want any form of shadow, you'll have to create it yourself with flash.

And that is providing you have any sun ...

Just enjoy yourself and have the fun family shoot you wanted to

Thanks... I will do what I can:) im sure i will be posting some in critique we will see how it goes.

Even at noon GMT this time of year there will be approx 3ft of shadow cast by objects for every 10ft of height ( on the north side ).

Find some open shade (or create your own) and use some fill flash to gain control of the situation
