Shooting a band in action

OK so i am going to see my brothers band tonight and they want me to take some pics, would love some feedback on your experiences and tips on taking these kind of pics.

Link below to some photos i took at a festival as a 'guest' photographer.

Shots mostly taken with Nikon D300 and 70-200mm lens, hence the nature of more abstract and shots of individuals.

Try not to use flash (but take one with you) crank up the ISO The graininess complements gig images Always shoot in colour. Get close & move around a bit i.e. side to side. Do some test shots before hand.

well i can not take flash anyway as only have E410 and 17.5-45mm lens at the mo.
Hopefully when i have some more money i can get some more equipment.
