Shimoda bags

Hello all, has anyone taken a shimoda bag on flight and had any issues with treating it as an under the seat bag? I'm looking at the 25ltr option and hoping it would fit ok but I'm looking for someone who has had first had experience of doing it of course.

I've never tried it on a flight but in general terms it is a great bag BUT it has so many different pockets and pouches and I haven't worked out what most of them are for!
