Sharpening

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with sharpening images in CS3, I haven't had the software long and haven't quite got to grips with it,

I know it sounds odd, but As a starting point you can't really go far wrong with un-sharp mask! have a play with it but use it sparingly for best results.. Hope this helps.

have a look at one of the Scott Kelby books - completely cheesy, but he cuts through all the cr*p and he goes through things in a very easy to follow format (which assumes you know nothing at all) and for a beginner (like me!) it's really good

I have found quite a few good tutorials on you tube on all sorts including sharpening.

Worth a search on there.

Agree with above, some great tutorials there. I use the LAB colour techniquie as an action, but unsharp mask and the high pass filter method are also popular ways.

someone on TP did a tutorial for high pass sharpening which is really useful, will try and find it and bump it for you now
